SMTP Server for Outgoing Mail

To use Avaruus.net’s provided SMTP server for sending emails, follow these instructions:

First, enable the SMTP server for each email account on the customer pages by following these steps:

Select Settings -> Email from the left-hand menu.
Choose your email account and click Edit.
In the opened window, click Sending.
Check the box next to “Enable SMTP Server (Authenticating SMTP Server)”.
Save the settings.

Once you have enabled the SMTP server, use the following outgoing mail settings in your email program:

SMTP Server: smtp.avaruus.net
Port: 465
Protocol: SSL/TLS
SSL Connection: ON
Authentication Method: “Normal Password”
Username: (your full email address)
Password: (the password set for your email mailbox)

Or, if your email program supports the StartTLS protocol, you can use the following settings:

SMTP Server: smtp.avaruus.net
Port: 587
Protocol: StartTLS
Authentication Method: “Normal Password”
Username: (your full email address)
Password: (the password set for your email mailbox)

Settings for Microsoft Outlook 2010



Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.avaruus.net
Outgoing Server Tab:
[X] My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
Log on using
User Name: (your email address completely)
Password: (the password set for your email mailbox)
Advanced Tab:
Server Port Numbers:Outgoing mail (SMTP): 465
[X] This server required a secure connection (SSL)

Settings for Mac Mail



Server Name: smtp.avaruus.net
[X] Use the Default Ports (25, 465, 587)
[X] Use SSL
Authentication: Password
Username: (your email address completely)
Password: (the password set for your email mailbox)
